Mis-en-scene

Location:
The location of the filmmaking will take place in several different places. The location used are Wembley park station. The reason we chose a station is because it is a busy place and sets the scene, and we chose Wembley park station in particular as it is always busy and so our character fits in with the crowd. Our character plays a big role of a businessman. Another scene is located in the based in the heart of the city .Although his journey locations could have been anywhere we chose a location that has a stylish environment, modern buildings and a tourist attraction where there is bound to be a lot of people.

Studio:
We used the drama room to shoot a scene with an unknown person making a bomb. We used the studio because it looks professional with the lighting.

Costume/Hair and makeup:
The idea was put forward that the main character dresses professionally and has to wear everything black. This creates curiosity in the audiences mind as it connotes dark mystery as that is what most villains wear. Although we had no use of makeup used.

Body Language:

It is very important to maintain a non stereotypical posture of the characters for example the businessman has to walk calmly and confidently with his head up seeming very objective so the audience or the people around him do not feel any sort of suspicion. His outward appearance will create his personality to the audience.

Props:
At the beginning there are tools used such as wires, electrical broken pieces , nails and screws as the equipment for making the bomb. Also another prop is the briefcase which will add the creation of our character.

Lights:
We have only used the use of lights in one location and that is the drama room as there are high lights attached. The reason why we didn’t use lighting anywhere else was because all our other locations outside therefore we didn’t use lighting much. For the scenes that we didn’t used lighting, we filmed during the day so that we have enough natural light. We used the different kind of lighting for the different locations to make it look continuous. For example use of professional lighting in the drama room to make it look like a big scene as he is making the bomb. Followed by natural lighting used in the scenes in London and the last scene which is in the evening with the character is in an empty place, the natural use of lighting is less to show that the phone call made the by the character to the police is done in the evening.

Colour design:
We wanted to use an enigmatic opening scene therefore we used professional bright lighting which created a good colour design. However both will be quite similar to each other.

Sound:
We were aiming to use two different sound tracks for our production. In the first scene the music is more fitting to the emotions of the actions being portrayed. However the second soundtrack used fits in quite well with the scene. The only difference is that the first soundtrack is more uplifting as it is beginning we decided to make it look more catchy.
