Mis-en-scene

Mis-en-Scene.
mis en scene plays a big role in the film and theatre industry as it expresses mood, emotion, and defines a character or a scene with atmosphere and feeling.
mis en scene is a french word used to describe everything that appears before the camera. in a film it would be everything in a scene, for example, the lights, props, actors, costumes and effects. in theatre,it can be known as 'putting on stage' so everything that would be on stage at a scene,so for example, the background used, the costumes, props and the use of lighting.
in our thriller opening,we took a close look at the mis en scene as we wanted to connect our audiences with the film and we wanted them to understand our character well. we did this by thinking about the mis en scene in each scene.
