special effects

We used special effects in various different shots. slow motion shots were used at the end to create tension and a build up. the slow motion goes well with the soundtrack and makes the scene more edgy. It also build the characters characteristics.
Special effects are used in many thriller films as it fits in with the conventions of thriller films.
there are two main types of special effects; Mechanical effects which are done during the making of the shooting.This can be done with props which can be used to create effects in the atmosphere,such as wind,rain,clouds etc. This can also include makeup and physical effects,which is effects made physically or manually.
The other type of effects is optical effects which is made by tricks used in the camera,so this can be used when making the object or the character look as tho they are in a different character.
